Properties: It is pale yellow crystal or powder, soluble in water, not soluble in alcohol, decomposes when meeting acid and release strongly toxic hydrogen cyanide gas. When heated to 70 , it will lose the crystalline water and turn to red. Burned violently, it will decompose and release nitrogen.
Uses:
it is mainly used in production of paint, printing
oil, coloring matter, pharmaceutical, heat treatment of
metal, food additive and steel and leather industry.
